Anatomy of a Search

We are typically at your club performing the discovery phase of the search within
7-10 days of receiving a signed contract and retainer. Searches are affected by
various factors, including size of the committee, availability of the committee,
scope of the search and candidate availability. Generally, our searches have taken from 4 to 12 weeks.

Robinson | Goslin carefully structures each search by pairing specific goals with a methodology we have used successfully for 14 years, dividing the search into specific phases that occur both on site and in our offices that enable us to manage our clients’ expectations.

• Determine your club's objectives and requirements
• Develop understanding of the club culture
• Personally inspect your club's physical facilities and grounds
• Conduct confidential interviews with club officers and key staff
• Prepare a detailed manager profile with candidate specifications

• Review existing prospects
• Augment prospects through job postings

• Personal interviews of selected candidates
• Reference checks through our established network system
• Background checks and organizational personality profiles for finalists

• Identifying the outstanding candidates
• Presenting credentials and qualifications of top 10-12 candidates
• Establish a short list of 4-5 candidates and alternatives

• On-site guidance during the candidate interview process
• Coordination of the interview schedule for the Search Committee
• Travel and lodging arrangements for candidates
• Preparation of customized interview questions and an interview guide

• Balloting for most preferred candidate

• Candidate acceptance

• Post hire consultation
